Re-Design 4 U is a charitable social enterprise located in South Shields town centre. We have a retail shop that sells both donated items and re-designed art and craft items that have been created by adults with learning disabilities alongside our volunteers.

We offer opportunities for volunteers, work placement trainees and provide support, education and training to adults with learning disabilities. Re-Design 4 U attempts to break down the barriers that the general public envisage exist to employing adults with learning disabilities. Our slogan ‘Look at what we can do, not what we can’t’ has two meanings, look at what adults with a learning disability can do to make things out of donated items then actively sell them in our shop or on our market stall thus saving the landfill, and not just see the disability and believing that we are not able to do much for the environment or ourselves.
