About Us
North Tyneside Disability Forum has a track record of 25 years. Working with and for disabled people, their representatives and families we are proud of our partnership work, extensive collaberation and the range of activities, events, services and resources provided by us to North Tyneside residents.
As a registered charity (1072475), we are independent of Local and Health Authorities and draw funding from a range of charitable trusts and organisations whose continuing support to us has enabled our ongoing development.
NTDF aims to ensure disabled people are able to participate on equal terms in society as able decision makers with choice and control over their own lives in order that they have full citizenship and access.
The NTDF team of staff, volunteers, trustees and members encourage people of all ages to come together informally across youth and play work, older people work, Deaf and Hearing members Self and Group support work, clubs, events task groups, and fun projects in order to consult, share ideas and become effective decision makers.Find their individual and collective voices and make their voices heard appropriately.
In order that disabled people have the skills and confidence, opportunities and urge to improve and enhance life choices and quality of life and support to themselves, their peers, all generations and those people who are part of their lives.
