Midland Furniture Company was founded in April 1986 by Ickey Zaman. He started building cabinets for letting agencies and private landlords in the Newcastle area. A professional cabinet maker by the age of 23, he gained experience with a local company.His belief was that not all people could afford high priced furniture, so his aim was to provide his customers with hard wearing yet good looking furniture at the right price and made to measure.
