Welcome to Medical Bootcamp

Medical Bootcamp aims to look at the tried and tested communication ways to achieve patient understanding, which enhances patient health. A resource that all front line medical practitioners could use to play their part to improve front line communication on the patient /practitioner interface, moulding high level clinical dialogue into every day speak.
Front line communication skills and knowledge to aid balance, variation and illness in the human body. Recognising the health practitioner has to be a chameleon changing and tailoring dialogue for each patient to obtain a level of understanding.

About Janet

I have been inspired today to start my website content by a 23 year old young man who has suffered with type 1 diabetes since he was three years of age. His courage of explaining to me how he has coped and his deepest feelings of his illness has kicked started my writing. After researching autoimmune disease for 22 years and extensive study over the past two years I hit a wall and could not comprehend how to begin this momomentous task.
After a medicine use review with this young man I realise this knowledge has to be recorded to help future generations. The kindness and understanding of the autoimmune community, the willingness to share their hardest toughest times with other fellow patients has made me determined to produce a helpful site which is easy to understand about what is actually going on inside our bodies and how we can take responsibility on to help our own health. The biggest most significant event today was how other autoimmune patients feel day to day and the longing for someone to talk to who actually understands what it is like to live day to day with autoimmune disease.

Course Overview

Medical Bootcamp, joining all frontline medical professionals and educators together to enhance education to diabetic patients/students using evidence based medicine and scanning the latest medical journals for up to date information, on how to achieve good diabetes control. The aim of the course using a multidisciplinary team approach to give good practice and understanding.
Understanding NICE guidelines and a helpful file of useful visuals and ideas to take home. With an added bonus of a good day out meeting fellow health professionals and educators. A certificate will be provided to show the attendee has completed the course.
